Carlos Castro is a young guitar teacher with many years of experience. Nowadays he works as professor at the J. G. Albrechtsberger Musikschule Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria) and at the Carl Goldmark Musikschule Deutschkreutz (Burgenland). With great pleasure, Castro would give a master class in your music school or guitaristic event. It is also possible to take a private class via videoconference on appointment (Skype or Google Hangouts)

His affinity to young people, his equanimity and his personal interest in the musical and artistic development of his students are characteristics of his way of teaching. He is a creative, passionate, involved and exigent teacher, who believes undoubtedly in the talent of each and every one of his pupils.

The main values of his teaching vision are: to demonstrate a deep respect to the music, to transmit the message of the composer as faithful and exactly as possible (including the style according to the historical context) and to feel an intense love for the guitar (knowing her, understanding her, listening to her and enjoying her).

“During his two years as Assistant Teacher at the School of Musical Arts of the University of Costa Rica, his students displayed great improvement, thus demonstrating his capabilities as a teacher as well as his strong sense of discipline and cooperation.”
—Ramonet Rodríguez, MA

„Since 2008 he was assistant professor of the Guitar Department, where he has demonstrated to be a responsible, committed, creative and respectful teacher, truly concerned about the learning processes of his students and encouraging them to be more committed musicians, with great love and respect for guitar and music.”
— M.Sc. María Clara Vargas Cullell, former Director,
Escuela de Artes Musicales, UCR
